Just occurred to mention to all of you that there is a big annual oil service sector conference this week, I believe in Houston. I don't know to what extent analysts attend, and I don't know whether it typically gives the sector a boost (like some of the tech conferences tend to do), but it is worth considering. One of the industry insiders on the drillers thread has mentioned that deals are sometimes announced (I believe he meant contracts, not mergers). By the way, I'm not trying to tout the sector (I don't want the responsibility). It just occurred to me because jermoney mentioned GLM, and the guy on the driller thread said Luicks from GLM is sitting on some panel on Monday. Oh yeah -- Cramer hates GLM.
