Upon the retirement of his faithful secrectary for 10 years, Bill, who runs a small business, puts an ad in the paper to replace her. He gets many replies, most of them good. So, he decides to pick the three best applicants, hire them all, and then keep the one who works out best.
As a test, in their first paychecks, he slips an extra $500 each.
The first secretary sees the extra $500, and immediately reports to Bill that he overpaid her.
The second secretary cashes the check, and never mentions the extra money.
The third secretary cashes the check, goes to Las Vegas and runs the $500 up to $2500. She then comes back and gives back the $500 to Bill, and also gives him an extra $300 for his "commission".
