Predicting Apple's price.

Something I came across while doing some portfolio analysis at the end of the month.

Using monthly data for Dec96 to Apr98 the correlation between rates of return in Australian Dollar terms (note strongly correlated with the Yen) for Apple Computer stock and US dollar deposits is -.64. i.e. If the US dollar goes up returns on Apple's stock decline.

Nothing too surprising there. I was just surprised how strong the correlation is.
