It is. 40GB fully non-blocking in a 19-inch rack-mountable box. And it will do OC-48c. The "c" stands for "concatenated" which means that it will handle the full 2.5GB in a single VC, as opposed to the OC-48STM-16 provided by the GX-550, which allows only for 4 622MB VCs. Thanks, Dennis. Do you mean VC (virtual connection) or VP (virtual path)? You can break VP's down into smaller VC's which would be useful for reselling arrangements. An OC-48 VC would be totally ridiculous and humungously big for any one customer. Like drinking from a firehose. Either way, I don't think this feature is a big deal. bucky89
