I think he was really interested in getting more info.
I say this because I eagerly asked him if he had been testing a beta version. (Now would have that been kool). No, he said he was just basing his statements on the skeleton at PNLK currently at the website.
His ears seemed to big really perk up about the SI thread when I told him about Glenn's participation.
However, I'm an honest reporter. I'm not going to tell everyone that he gismed in his pants over the prospects of PNLK. He didn't.
I was just personally satisfied that a quote un-quote higher up in one of the leading fiber optic companies had even heard of PNLK...a company that hasn't even put out its financials.
Regarding the financials, one of the fund managers from Emerald Research made a very good point. The exact numbers on this initial statement aren't as important as WHO the financing is coming from. A reputable name will more than offset a negative number.
The manager also stated what I thought he would say about a BB stock. He couldn't buy one...he has to stick to the philosophy of the fund's prospectus. I think Jeb's (Besecker) funds have a little more latitude. But I couldn't ask him, because, if you can see from one of my earlier posts, I made a promise to his wife that I wouldn't talk any "shop" with him at the Kentucky D PARTY. (Btw- had "Really Quiet" in the $10 pool...and since I base all my stock picking decisions on the alignment of the stars (jk)...I am taking my winning this pool as a good omen to buy more shares especially since I got the winning horse by picking a name out of a hat.If this isn't a good buying signal...I don't know what is).
ER's fund manager told me about some of his successes this year (Netscape from 17 to 27, which he said was more than just a browser). My honest reaction was that's the best you can do?
Told him about some of my successes so far this year with SNDCF (+/- 4 to over 9) , ATEC (3 +/- to almost 9), amongst others ....and he just asked me how I found these companies. The ER's ears REALLY perked up when I told him about what PNLK does.
He actually concurred with me, when I told him that by investing in PNLK, I was breaking so many of my own self-imposed rules because if I waited for all the background I normally require, I may miss this opportunity.
Anyway...I'm attaching a disclaimer to my above statements and just adding that the "above statements are forward looking statements that in no way actually reflect the performance of the company"...or, in other words, as I tell everyone when reviewing my words....DO NOT LISTEN TO A WORD I SAY....form your own opinions . Ignore any hype and, even, my enthusiasm for the future prospects of this company. Why....because I'm not that smart...and I'm wrong....a lot .
