Please do not mistake the damage of religion with the Lord. Remember, we should know them by their fruits. Yeshua warned us that many would come in his name and would deceive many. I always expect a Christian to show love for others, and when they don't I have scriptural reason to doubt them, not to judge but to doubt.
As far a the treatment of women goes it seems to me that the Yeshua is the author of freedom for women. If you look around the world at the places were women are free, you will see a correlation to the places the apostle Paul spread the gospel. In non Christian countries women are still treated with little respect i.e. Islam covering women, China were killing baby girls is common because of over population. Scripture teaches that there is no longer male or female, but all are one in Christ. If you see disrespect for women, judge the fruit once again and question if Yeshua is present or not.
One more thing. If we accept the idea that all religions are the same, we remove the possibility that any are true. All religions in the world contradict each other, especially Christianity. If any of these are sent from G-d, they would be complete, and true as
G-d cannot lie. If we overlook contradiction then we begin to pick and choose only the parts we agree with and ignore the rest. I must believe all of G-ds Word so that I can use it to refute error. As I am sure you have seen, if you pull out small parts of it you can prove almost anything with the Bible. Only by accepting it as one unit can we see a picture of Yeshua, and his love for all women and men.
I'll stop as I think I'm rambling, but I see the love of the Lord in you that you cannot separate from your Christian upbringing. Please don't deny the power of this and return to those roots. They will only increase your love of others, not stifle it.
