Mike, Just curious what you do think is the best OS in this day an age. And after you answer that question, is that OS the best OS for all environments (desktop; workgroup; servers; enterprise)? Secondly, is the replacement for MS OS's truly here? I don't think there are, today, answers for my last question. Its fine to talk about Java as a replacement, but don't forget that it takes years for an operating system / operating environment to become truly stable. Java ain't there yet. It took a long time for UNIX to get where it is. The Java world is fractured already; I'm not exactly sure how SUNW intends to capitalize on what it started. The world does not want to see one "monopoly" replaced by another (with McNeally at the helm no less!).
