I just realized how SIGNIFICANT it was what I was told by one of the most knowledgeable geologists on Voisey Bay a couple of weeks ago when he said the Eastern Deeps and the Western extension of Voisey Bay takes the form of an underground river. If one can imagine the water would hold the minerals, it can twist and turn over a long distance. At points it will be narrow, wide, shallow and deep.
The big question is, if there is a large discovery in SVB, will that also take the shape of an underground river? Like Eastern Deeps 60 miles to the north in Voisey Bay, there was one hell of a lot of holes drilled before the key drill hole passed through the underground river at 500 meters deep. But once the key discovery hole was hit, it was one hell of a lot easier to follow the nickel. A GUIDE TO GO BY! Currently the underground river runs 7 km long from one end of the Eastern Deeps to the western extension including the ovoid somewhere in between.
So in SVB, that last drill hole of 1997 running 50 ft. deep of 2% mineral is MORE SIGNIFICANT than I thought. Now I know why that hole is called the DISCOVERY HOLE. Does it mean after several holes drilled they finally penetrated the underground river? And now have a excellent GUIDE TO GO BY?????????
