<<<Show me one phase in history where a bear market happened in this kind of circumstances, ie, where truly revolutionary technogical changes are taking place. >>>

1929..... the industrial revolution was in full swing. Transportation and invention was giving us tremendous productivity gains. Everyone was looking at "potential". the thought of the day was that stocks had reached a permanent plateau and that this time things were different. Sound familiar? You need to look at the charts of G and KO. Then look at the UTIL index and the banking index BKX. They are all breaking down while YHOO and KTEL are on fire. Yes, valuation will become compressed. Would you have believed me if I had told you in 1985 that we would be at 9200 on the DOW in 1998? You can't understand why your stock could drop because you are so bullish on the future. whne a mkt collapses, valuations go to nill. This will be what is so difficult for people to understand. They will look at their stocks as cheap and buy all the way down. If the mkt caves, we willhave a major recession. All co's will suffer.
