I'd love to have Canoga join this thread, but he hasn't posted to SI since mid-October and, as you say, may have moved on. His e-mail address is N/A, so I posted an update to him on the other thread. Perhaps we'll hear from him.
Your suggestion re the MMs sounds good to me. I once traded on-site for my own account with a broker who made a market in a small stock, and he was clearly better informed about the company than its shareholders. I'm sure it's a sine qua non for MM survival - and a little profit here and there.
Unfortunately, I have no broker in my own corner, trading with a no-frills discounter, but FWIW I can sound out friends who do. Perhaps some of the other DACQ SHs deal with DACQ MMs, or can open a channel, or have other sources of reliable information. (Comments, anyone?)
