Wiley..CSCO.. It is almost sacriligious to bet against CSCO. I think the 'Anticipatory Upswing' on Monday/Tuesday will be crucial, even more crucial than holding through earnings, though I might be tempted to. CSCO is the number one stock in the last 3 years according to an article in Financial Week about 1 month ago. It's growth going forward at 27-30% in the next 3 years makes CSCO a good intermediate/long term hold. If I had only 2 stocks that I could buy for my long time portfolio one of them would be AOL and the other would be CSCO.

The short term chart looks like it might be fading, but that could change on Monday. CSCO had a Volume change of about 40% below its 50 day moving average volume. This could signal that the upwared momentum is losing ground but then an MACD buy signal was generated on Friday as the MACD crossed above it's signal line. I think the chances of CSCO reaching 80 are very good. The current value of the CCI is 105. which is OVERBOUGHT. I would get in on Monday and hold until the upward trend shows obvious signs of dissipating. I am no where near thinking of selling my long term holding of CSCO. It's in my 'don't open until 2,000' safe and shall nestle there until my 14 year old son worries about cashing it in towards his college tuition when he graduates high school in 2002.
