John,

Of course you understand that when Sire claims his personal equipment has passed "the Y2K test" he is referring to his life space experiences with computers that he deals with. Sire is not alone in his extrapolation.

If you ask the man on the street how they are going to solve the Y2K problem, if they know what you are talking about, might say:

"What's the big deal, you just go down to Egghead and buy a new piece of software that has taken care of the Y2K bug."

Most people don't have a clue when it comes to big computers unless they have worked with or around them.
