Vartan, JDS fitel is to list tuesday; what is price?
Canada Newswire March 25
reports that JDS has 23920000 shares issued and outstanding.
Not much more data is available. JDS does not seem to be an OTC stock.
The home page (www.jdsfitel.com) says it has 450 workers, makes fibreoptic
hardware, was incorp. 1981 in Nepean Ont.
A CNW prospectus article of March 15 mentions Nesbitt Burns and a
sum of $94 million. Does this mean the IPO price will start at
$94000000 divided by 23920000 ? Of course, the price tomorrow will
start at $4, go to $6 and then slide down to $4 or $5. :-)

Would appreciate your opinion on how much to bid, Tuesday PM.
Fibre optics has a terrific future. But does this firm make any profit?

Fred B.

PS, article on Hookup in Globe today M25, page b7. Interview with geeky
Mr. Harrop, age 20, founder of Hookup. Harrop was offered $4 million recently
for Hookup but the deal flopped. Price too high. There are 8000 clients in
Toronto area, growing by 1000 monthly.
Istar has paid over $1k per client, so $500 seems cheap.
