[ STRR Contract Guess .. 4 Mil ] Carol,

I'd guess the contract is worth about 2 times as much as the State of Indiana contract.

2.3 Mil Images = $2 Mil ... in 2 Years

STERLING, Va., January 14, 1998 -- Star Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRR) today announced that its subsidiary, Curran Data Technologies, Inc. (CDT) of Indianapolis, IN, has been awarded a two-year contract by The Indiana Department of Revenue to process state income tax returns. The contract, which covers the 1997 and 1998 tax years, is valued at up to $2 million.

Over the life of the contract, CDT will process more than 2.3 million individual tax returns, providing data entry and verification services, as well as electronic submission to the state.

The Army Contract is ........

4.3 Mil Images = ??? ... in 1 Year

. In total, CDT will scan and index more than 4.3 million images over the life of the one-year contract. The contract will be performed on site at the U.S. Army Enlisted Records and Evaluation Center (EREC) at Fort Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The big difference I see is the Indiana Contract is 2 Yrs. While the Army Contract is 1 Year.

I'd guess ... twice the amount in 1/2 the time.

I could be wrong.

Think this is a good way to compare them?

If so then ...... 1.15 Mil in 1 yr compared to 4 Mil .. more or less.
