The reason the Matrox G200 is such big news is
because it's the first card that tackles all of the issues.
It's a superb 2D performer, edging out the previous
champion Millennium II. It's a stunning 3D performer
second only (and slightly) to 3Dfx silicon overkill the
Voodoo 2 chipset. The image quality is the best we've
seen yet with full 32-bit all the way though. It's a full
AGP 2X part with sidebands to take advantage of the
new Intel BX motherboards.
