Oh dear! I hope my dying squirrel didn't put you off your feed! So I hasten to write that the squirrel lives! In an impressive display of garden glove-clad prestidigitation, wielding a broom, towel and shoe box, I captured him and ran screaming out into the yard where I threw him into a tree. Blue, my kitty, is devastated at his loss and is lying in front of the Welch cabinet making occasional little tearful mews and gazing at me reproachfully. I am unmoved, as I've been reading about Zeno and the Stoics and am practicing the state of ataraxia. penni
