<< I am also getting VERY tired in holding on to this company that just keeps losing money. >>
Please do yourself a favor and get some self confidence in your decisions and sell your stock. ;-) I have already accepted that Ancor probably will lose money until the switch oem market takes off (sans SQNT). As you have probably figured out by now, by the sledge hammer of a board we have here (:-), this should not happen till late 98, early 99. I believe Ancor will be losing money all the way into the beginning of 1999, but I have many reasons for holding my shares. I, personally, am going to definitely stick around to see the beginning of the Fibre Channel switch wave. Ancor simply has excellent products from what I have heard and this technology will be used in the years ahead from nowhere. Now, please do not laugh at me (but no one is stopping you :-), but I sincerely believe that FC will be a tremendous industry in a very short time. It is hard to wait but NOTHING comes easy, unless, of course, you're very lucky. :-) Nothing against you at all personally srvhap, but it would be disappointing to see you coming back to this board for the next three quarters saying, "I am sick and tired that these guys are still losing money." From listening to Brocade speak, I believe THEY do not expect to be profitable until late 98 or early 99 and they are Ancor's #1 competitor. That should tell you something about timing. And timing is everything. :-)
I also believe it is a little frustrating to hear about some BODs not owning shares. I believe janski is incorrect about Bestler (the vote #1 part), though. I think he owns some shares. I also agree with the Aussie dude Dale about hoping Carlson (and, me personally, Ahola) would be buying some chunks of a company that they may have high (?) hopes for.
Cheers, all imho pigboy |
