I checked out the local CompUSA store. Compaq computers were located the most invisible corner with nothing displaying on the monitors, while other brand PC's have either demos or DVD movies playing. So I tried to play with Compaq computers. I started one to play a DVD movie. Not for very long, it stopped playing and gave an error message saying something like Software DVD problem. Quality problem aside, why don't they use those nice and cheap hardware chips that DELL and some other ones are using for playing DVD movies?
