I have a buddy that sells covered calls on a regular basis and does quite well. Even if you get called, if you do the mathe, the annualized returns can be tremendous.

He also tells me that the market makers win in options about 80% of the time. When you sell a call, you are basically betting with the market maker. Either way, get called, you lowered your cost and got out (most likely) at a higher price. Don't get called, lowered your cost and can then sell the next call to do it again.

I'm considering for some APCO shares, but not till the price jumps back up a bit.

Regards,
Dan
