Dear Christine: I am leaving again for Europe on Sunday. Will continue our conversation upon my return. The mistresses I had were all some years ago, and I was not married at the time. Remember, 'The Church of the Three Garters' is a Church of the mind and libido! We do not subscribe to the antiquated Puritan idea of sex being a sin and filthy. We think of the human body as the temple of beauty and the sexual act as one of the greatest expressions of intimacy and sharing a human can have with another. A man (or woman, for that matter) can love more than one other in a lifetime. Yes, it is possible to meet one person when you are 16 and be with only them until death do you part, but that is untrue for the majority of the population that has been educated. Father Terrence is extremely ethical. Ethics derive from values, and values from the underlying philosophy. Father Terrence subscribes to the only rational philosophy, that of Objectivism.
