Alex, I am always skeptical of "official" documents that contain typos and/or bad grammar... especially in the first couple of paragraphs. Engineers should explain things to writers, not try to write it themselves. Attention to detail is important. CAP "This time the video professional might have really (sic) difficulty differentiating D1 from the MPEG-2 stream, although even the consumer would agree that they are both better than the S-VHS."
