For myself, I lost about 75% of the initial capital I was willing to risk investing. I made most of my mistakes on my own. Later, I came to see what the internet had to offer. That's when I fell for the likes of Mark Shultz and Futures superstocks newsletter. My first DD is probably what prevented me from losing it all. I looked into every stock the futures superstock newsletter had suggested previously only to find they where profiling mostly IPO's and a few month's after most of them were worthless. I took my money and ran! and good thing I did to because the one I was in went from 8 to 2 not long after.

Now, although it hurts, I feel all of that was a great learning experience and I wouldn't change anything about it. But this is not the only way to go. I suggest paper trading to anyone who wants to learn the ropes as it will tell you if your ready to make the jump.

Happy trading!
