Takeover rumors? IBM - I dought it, to many competing technologies ie: OS/2, Tivoli, Notes ORCL - Possiblility....No OS, No Groupware, No Management Products...synergy with NCA SUNW - unlikely...UNIX bigots Netscape - too small and no support at all for Netware...an outside chance Segate - well they have been building up their software division Compaq - want to become 3rd biggest Computer company by year 2000, need a decent software division and have stated they will do it with purchases! Whoever it is, just get it over and done with, the last few months have been to painfull, like the idea of $17-20 :~) Novell has been in some serious discussions with the 6 big ones from the NC camp...could it be one of them? but on the otherhand I was advised it was more of a positioning move in the brave new NC world.
