I wish the sunw PR department would send me a check every now
and then, but I'm sorry to disappoint you - I have a rational
reason for posting here.

I've been a user and software developer on Sun systems (and
PC's, and Macintosh) for the last 10 years. Because I've
had success using Sun's products, and my employers have had
success selling software that runs on them, I also became a
sunw shareholder in 1995, and have enjoyed a nice ride up
(about 400%) since then.

Now, twister, what's your story?

ps. PC "workstations" are being marketed as "power user hardware"
to PC users on testosterone trips. there is much overlap between
the PC "workstation" and the "high-end" PC market - not surprising
since they're the *same* machines in a different box. Statistics
on "PC workstation" shipments are not a reflection of SUNW's strength
or weakness in the scientific/engineering workation marketplace,
where the Darwin boxes have been a big hit.
