Steve,

I agree with you 100 percent. I have been doing very well using a hybrid of day trading and position trading. I keep about 2/3 of my porfolio on the long side with stocks I believe have good upside and minimal downside risk. I then day trade the other third. I pick stocks based on the same fundamentals, but then look for the day-trade potential is some of them.

My favorite day-trade stock is ASND. This stock is a day-traders dream. You can watch support and resistance with candlesticks on a 30 minute intraday basis, and it almost always does what you think it will do. I know the trend is up and the fundamentals are good, so it's just a matter of looking for the bottom at support levels, and riding it up. Lots of fun, with instant profits and gratification.
