There was a Dow Jones newswire article today on a forthcoming metastream strategic partnership with Intel. The article quoted a general manager in a NJ office - it WAS NOT a corporate release. The article stated Intel and Meta will share technology and Intel will provide marketing assistance to help establish metastreaming as an industry standard. It is important to realize the metastreaming viewer will most likely be distributed as an add-on to standard web browsers and as such, will not directly generate money for Metacreations (the article states this as well). MCRE hopes to generate additional interest in its other tools as well as sell more licenses for the Real 3D camera made by Intel and Lockheed. Based on other perceived 'Internet' stocks, today's jump should be just the start. MCRE should be up at least 20 points when the actual announcement is made! (JUST KIDDING... but if it can happen to KTEL...) Bulldozer
