Robert, bid vs. ask size can be a false indicator, particularly when trading is slow. Sometimes you can detect a bottom, though, when BOTH bid and ask volumes increase dramatically. An upturn usually means renewed buyer confidence that a bottom has been found, but it also runs into increased selling traffic as it moves up.
