I read a lot on LGOV's website this weekend. I really liked the types of upgraded-living-standard necessities they are offering.

Not too long I go I saw a very interesting TV piece about the changes in China. They showed a lot of people in a small farming town, all of whom lived in rickety little shacks with dirt floors and no plumbing or heat. Now, with the economic changes, once they have met their crop quota, they can work at other cottage industries for profit. They started a small factory making something (I don't remember what) and with the profits they have been replacing their shacks with little houses with floors, and appliances, and plumbing.
