Q3 10Q is now available on EDGAR. I know I said the same thing last week, but I just now checked and briefly reviewed it myself.

I did not see anything specific refering to an "expansion"; maybe Red Chip knows something we don't. What I did see is that Ampex had sold the smaller of its two manufacturing facilities in Colorado Springs, but as of September 30 had canceled the listing contract for the Sale of its much larger facility in the same location. They are now only looking to sub-lease a small portion of it.

Additionally, as previously posted, they are now funding the manufacture of pre-amplification chips utilized in KM so that there won't be any delay in meeting KM orders if they are placed. If Ampex is willing to fund this and with as cautious as they are in their corporate decisions and communications, to me its not a question of if, but WHEN.

As far as their not selling the larger manufacturing facility, Bramson has previously said that he did not necessarily intend to license KM, implying instead that Ampex would consider manufacturing the complete KM platters and selling those directly to drive manufacturers. This also ties in very well, with Ampex's massive development of a sales and marketing force for KM. I believe we are seeing the final pieces of the KM puzzle falling into place.

Also waiting patiently for a KM announcement.

PS - Although this thread basically revolves around KM, there is a lot of interesting information in the 10Q relating to DST and other Ampex products, which also seem to be doing well and could provide us with many pleasent surprises.
