Don't compare Gates to Buffett, there is no comparison. Gates is trying to corner the market in one area, Buffett is doing a lot of 'mini-cornering' in a lot of different areas, and is only interested in companies that can add value to his portfolio over the very long haul.
Buffett named off several people he has a lot of respect for, one i remember is Sandy Wiehl (american express, primerica, etc.).
The guy that runs Hertz he named also (Frank ?????).
As a 'broker' (for lack of a better term), there is no one like him, because HE is who everybody is compared to, and the market will never be as good to anybody in the future like it has been to him over the last 16 years, because the market isn't the same.
If you are disciplined enough in the market, a lot of people could be like him. i can't - i don't have the patience to wait 2-3 years for solid growth............
