C. Carlos,
May be I did not make my point clear. I meant that many utilities may not be able to purchase this instrument due to its high cost, especially the smaller ones. I hope someone can develop a smart and low cost method. Biotech companies may be able to develop a qualitative instead of a quantitative method at very low cost. This is probable good enough for the warning purpose.

The cyst of Crytosporidium is what we want to remove from drinking water so are several other cysts. They all have different sizes and ...may be shapes. Filtration is the most effective method to
remove the cysts, however, the fine filtration is expensive for utilities. These cysts are very chemical resistant. You need very high dosage of chemical and long contact time to treat it properly. This
chemical additives can cause other reaction by-products which are harmful to our health as well. This is the limitation of the chemical treatment.

Did you ever think of boiling water could become part of our daily life? May be most of people forgot how to boil water already<G>. It is just the matter of time for an average person getting cysts in his/her
drinking water. You are basically playing Russian roulettes if you do not boil drinking water. It is impossible to make 100% safe drinking water by water utilities. I recalled an article mentioned that
the researchers were able to correlate the water turbidity with the frequencies of reported diarrhea cases in the Philadelphia area. This is a very large water utility, they have a lot of technology resources. It is impossible for the smaller ones to get the same support.

Well, the bottom line is whether ELTP can develop an useful instrument for profit? I need to see they make real results....not just talk about it. Good luck.

Sincerely,
Wade
