"We will pick up activity in 2nd half" - attributed to Intel ceo. Any semiconductor company that makes a statement otherwise,(i.e.,2nd half activity looks flat or down) is asking to be sent to the (stock) doghouse for good 6 months. Semiconductor cycle is the strongest in 4th quarter for all semi companies, for which they see the orders come in the 2nd or 3rd quarter. The key is how much of that is real and how much double ordering? (this phenomemon causes the gluts in the following first qtr.)
