My top 3 changes:

1. Continue to improve wires. I have not had a problem recently but a friend is still experiencing problems.

2. Revamp your 1098. Yours is very confusing. The form I get from other brokers does not break down each individual trade as yours does but rather lists a lump sum of total stock purchases and total stock sales, whether it be margin or not. This easily identifies your gain or loss.

3. I think you should give at least 2 free trades when you make a mistake. If your market order takes more than 1 minute...two free trades. I would also give two free trades when a person orders a specific number of shares, say 100, and he gets a smaller number, say 38. This would at least give the person a sense of getting something for Datek not performing as expected.

Finally, I want to commend you for your effort to improve. However I do feel that you and all of the other department managers at Datek should make a conscieous effort to give a brief status report of projects and problems at Datek on this thread at least twice a week. An example would be check writing. In early Feb. 98 you asked us to sign up. We did!!! I believe it was late Mar. 98 when you told us the hold up was with the check printing. It is now early May and no new status report, to my recollection, and no checks. This is just one example of many. Please just let us know what is going on. Most of us will be appeased.

Thank You,
Brian
