a few thoughts. i liked the PR, though i would have preferred one that made it clear that we had depo contracts<G>.
wasnt awre (get it) of TXNs chipset problems other than the power issues, which most feel confident will be solved. the power issues, as i understand them are in inherent in a DSP solution. maybe MOTs more ASIC oriented solution will fare better. this, IMHO, is another reason why i think that TXNs relationship to WSTL is stronger than those on wall st. want to believe.
as for hard to install a modem...for some people it is, especially when their first two com ports are already tied up. despite what our good friends at microsoft want us to believe, win95 is not really PnP. like it or not, for this to be a broad based thing, we need all those moms and dads who are more comfortable reading a book or magazine than checking a website.
as for AWRE, the only reason someone needs to license from AWRE is for their g.lite implementation. we still dont know what the standard is or will be, so its kind of a bet that AWREs implementation will be the standard. dont know for sure, but i would assume since this is still DMT, we will be at an advantage because of our partnership with TXN.
as for the LU partnership...just wish the market would wake up to it. it is high time some of the value in this be realized and the price moves above 15.
good luck to all, trey |
