EXCITING news from Netscape and Excite making me much more bullish on both companies. Look out AOL and YHOO, there's gonna be a gumfight! Is Mr Softy going to lose the internet game he thought he had won? Stranger things have happened!

Will be waiting for some crazy event to cause a crash in Excite and Netscape, so we can buy back into Excite (remember sold at about $92) and add to Netscape (bought at a shade under $17).

I hear tell that Excite got the short end of the stick in this deal so perhaps not holding it now is lucky. However I tend to think this is overblown and the coming years will see much cash rolling in for both of these companies, with many bumps on the road to be sure.

These are winners folks! I am especially happy for Netscape. They have now officially returned from the dead.

I would buy tomorrow (for the mock portfolio) but things are going to be a bit wacky so perhaps it won't be possible at any sane valuation, therefore it is nice to already hold NSCP. Portfolio update delayed until next week, sorry.
