Demonstration in Conjunction With Brocade and Networld+Interop
LAS VEGAS, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- (Networld+Interop) -- Intelliguard Software, a leader in standards-based network-attached storage management solutions, announces its participation in Brocade Communications' new ZONING service demonstration during Networld+Interop'98 (Booth #8234) in Las Vegas, May 4-8. The demonstration will show how ZONING enables a heterogeneous environment by delineating eight different zones for simultaneous UNIX, NT and Silicon Graphics/Cray system solutions on the same Fabric, thus eliminating device contention between and among hosts.
ZONING enables system administrators to dedicate network-attached robotic device or tape drives to a particular server regardless of that server's architecture. "Not only will BudTool be easier to administer, this development could have an immediate and profound impact on the administration of all system resources," said Dean Clark, technical marketing manager for Intelliguard.
At Interop, Intelliguard will demonstrating its BudTool storage management software backing up a Solaris-based server (Sun Microsystems Ultra), plus a Windows NT server all with fibre channel host adapters, connected to the Brocade fibre channel switch. Also connected to the switch is the Crossroads Systems' fibre channel to a SCSI converter which provides connectivity to the automated tape library.
