Immucor's Independent Future Dominic, IMHO - The possibility for a buyout at this stage is slim to none as Immucor's CEO/Pres. Mr. Gallup appears to be growing the reagent and medical device segments very well. The recent earnings report was impressive when compared to earlier reports. The board of directors has been greatly strengthened with the addition of top people from other companies. I believe that this strategy will improve sales and market share. Recently announced alliances or marketing initiatives will only add to the bottom line as we await approval of the ABS2000. My confidence in Immucor's prospects is high. The stock price has been holding up well. In fact, the period prior to the recent earnings release did not present an opportunity to buy the stock at depressed levels as has been the case in the past. Looking good! Of course anything can happen and yes Abbott Labs just may make Immucor an offer they cannot refuse. :-) Regards, Tom
