Linda-sorry. I don't know why I thought you meant you already knew of mac troubleshooting web sites. I'm sure others on this board have other recommendations, but the best place to start is apple's support site at www.apple.com/support and til.info.apple.com. the til has a really good search engine.

The best Apple troubleshooting site, imho, is mac fix-it. They seem to document every known problem and how to fix it. They also have some good links out to other troubleshooting sites as well. macfixit.com
