I don't think he is doing that. LCAP is being driven by the bid price. He'll squeeze his ask price as close to the bid as possible so no one else can jump in front of him in the queue. If someone pulls back just a tick after taking an order, he'll jump into the gap immediately. The only thing he cares about is being the best ask price at any level the action takes the price. When heavy orders come in he doesn't back off his ask price so it can rise, he just sits there and eventually the selling will start by the impatient investors. The only price increase allowed is the gap in the mornings. He lets that happen and then jumps in to start his stuff.
