Hi ya PB!

>Eric "I Can't Stay In One Town For Five Minutes" Goethals, :-)

Ya I know, I owe you a dinner :-) I give you the chance to collect in July.

>Some say they won basically on just having a frame relay connect.

I'm not so sure I can swallow that. If it were true Amtx and Wstl would have started putting something together 2 years ago.

>Many still believe the ILEC will not be as big as the GTE CLEC, and many still think WSTL has kept the inside lead there.

I think Wstl has something but cannot talk about it.

Here is something to chew on. Can ORCKT meet delivery for both DT and GTE alone? (Didn't they also get a VDSL commitment from Siemans? I can't remember) Anyway, might ORCKT or Alcatel subcontract the parts of the work they have? Could be; time will tell and I think will happen.

IMO everything hinges on chip availability. When we have them in quantities we will start seeing everybody lay their cards out on the table. Without the chips and quantity pricing who is going to give anybody a big contract? Ignore what Alcatel and Orckt has because they have unique suppliers.

Thanks for the heads up on this DR TECH scoopster. I had a chance to check him out today after I first saw your post. Thanks for the links. I think this guy is for real. I also saw he has the insider track regarding VIVUS. It looks like with both WSTL and VIVUS he is predicting the announcements. Two completely different fields of investing. Curious enough, one company is located in CA and the other IL. So for now I am stumped as to how he is getting the pre info for both companies. At any rate, I agree with the info he posts up.

Bye for now,
Eric
