Own some Ranger. Check www.ranger-oil.com/ Also on SEC pages their registration number is 0000082035. Only SEC report on Edgar shown TAL having reported aggregate holdings of 9.7% of shares. Rangers Chairman of the Board is President of another co called Trade & Investment Advisory Group. Bronfman involvement with Ranger considered as big plus by me. Efforts in North Sea, Angola,Algeria and even Ecuador could still produce major finds capable of causing stock to rise 50%. Potential for takeover already discussed on this thread. Look for larger cos that have similar geographic interest in Nort Sea as suitors. Think Saga which has stated aim to increase British N.S. holding potential suitor esp if it fails to get Enterprise. While waiting for elephants or mergers solid earnings and cash flows limit downside. From drilling page on web they seem very inactive so far in this drilling season in Canada. Co seems unresponsive to shareholder request for info. Co hedging has been a negative and can't tell if they hedge because the big boys do it or if they must because bankers wont finance unhedged projects. Political risk is very high in Algeria but so far that has not detered other players. Angola's civil war has wound down but still a high risk area. Ranger opened office in Congo but so far no public reports of land holdings. Ranger is inconsistant in naming partners on holdings. Triton is partner in Ecuador.
