Hi AA, Got the cheap seats, only 65 bucks per (ha, ha). Had a really fun weekend. Caught the IROC and Winston West races on Saturday as well as the California 500. Definately a different experience than watching on TV. Got a royal sunburn, too. Jarrett blew his engine right in front of where I was sitting and it was pretty scary watching poor old Bill Elliott smack the wall and catch fire. I'm glad he wasn't seriously hurt and marvel at the safety systems built into modern Winston Cup cars. Congrats on a top 5 for your main guy. I guess Jeff Gordon whined a little about Fords advantage after the race but his pit strategy wasn't the best at the end of the race. I'm surprised he managed 4th place. Rusty might be looking for a new engine builder after blowing up near the end. I'll bet he cut loose a few choice words into his radio when that happened. I'll second your comment on DW. Good for him! Like to see him win a race this year. Earnhart was happy for him, too. I knew at the halfway point that Mark Martin would win if he stayed out of trouble. He had the strongest car without a doubt. I noticed his exhaust note seemed to indicate a slightly taller rear gear and lower RPM's than the rest of the field. If that was the case, he certainly dialed in the right combo for the California Speedway. They've got a real nice facility there. Lots of parking and easy in and out considering the number of fans. They're talking of adding more seating capacity for next year but they better add more restrooms as well. Waiting in a long line was a drag! Regards, JB
