I totally see what you're getting at. You're into micro picking stocks and strategies, and I'm Macro playing the swings in many indexes..but we're both heading for the same goal...aka spanking the SPX index. I never said I was happy with the Index b&h return. Now what about playing the sector indexes? For example...I'm not a Bio Tech guru with PHd in Bio Chem Engineering, so I play that INDEX, rather than try to pick the 2 or 3 hot ones. Thats what I do, along with leveraged SPX funds, like RYNVX. I trade them, time them, what every you want to call it. So, I'm not boring/bored by buying and holding them. I'm trying to be exceptional to :-) For example I went short (via RYURX) with ~25% of my holdings last night..all for the quest of exceptionality<gg>
