After all, we can't have that surplus without encouraging some captial-gains-triggering profit taking. Rubin calls for calm in the middle of the first rationally sized corrective down day in months while S&P futures get a big buyer. Like Jim has mentioned, I also think the something that caused the foreign market selloff that led to our big selloff last monday, isn't yet put on the public table. They're so scared of what should happen, they stop the first recent selloff in the middle of its first day! To me, that says someone's extremely frightened. regards, Tom
