Maybe BCE might be proactive instead of reactive to the "Telus sleeping with the neighbor's wife" phenomenon, and might seek technologies or other infrastructures that will allow it to compete/dominate in the next generation of communication markets. It may view the preservation of the Stentor alliance as a lost hope or waste of time.
