Got the article from my newswire but you can probably find it at Poineerplanet.com. I agree that ZIP just might become the standard, however I think that the average person just isn't informed about other products in the space. I bought a computer for home this weekend from a guy who builds them in his basement (his 9-5 job is head of IT for a 4000 employee firm), I happened to get into a conversation with him regarding SyQuest vs. Iomega. He really couldn't understand why people buy Zips or Jazz over the SparQ. He said in his field SyQuest products are much more respected than Iomega's. Unfortunately the general public is easily manipulated through creative advertising.
Also, the sticky stuff could be a problem. Sounds like something that could be fixed though.
