Hi, Del!! I like to respond to everyone who posts to me because I feel sad if people don't respond to me. I feel frustrated when I don't understand the words being used here because I have a degree in English, and love words. Obviously I should have taken Latin!! I went to university in the late 60's and early 70's, and I guess it was a pretty esoteric rather than intellectual experience for me. I was more interested in psychology and anthropology than the classics, and took courses in altered states of consciousness and film and art appreciation. I loved the Russian director Eisenstein, and mandalas, the beautifully swirling colored circles of life. I learned how to stage a protest march on a state capital building, and how to storm an administration building and occupy a Chancellor's office peacefully. Ha! I ate his tuna sandwich; I guess he left pretty quickly when he saw the hordes coming in. I know how to tie dye almost anything, and got college credit for a sensitivity group in which I learned how to talk about my feelings, build trust, and give the most wonderful all-over head and body massages ever, taught by a professor!!! I even took care of a baby steer!!

I really just wanted to be a mommy, and minored in child development to do that well. I stayed home with my child until she started school, and developed a passion for doing stained glass art. The spirituality of light--painting with light is what creating stained glass pieces is, really--is more important to me than making money, and I look at life as an artist. I live in the moment, and stop to look at incredible flower colors, and all the different shades of green in the forest by my house. I like to live surrounded by beauty, and also collect art.

For work, I handle disability and insurance claims for a large orthopaedic practice. I try to really wrap feminine, nurturing energy around people who have just found out they need something like a hip replacement and are in pain, scared, and desperate for money to live on while they recover. I try to reasssure them and hopefully give them something to make them laugh or feel good and positive about before they leave me, something small to carry them on through a difficult day.

Your environmentally correct gated community sounds very interesting to me. But why gated? I guess, sadly, it's the wave of the future as America becomes more stratified and violent. Where is is, and how did you get involved? Also, I'd always love to hear more about your envionmentally sound picks like the battery, so don't give up on me!! I am also an investor, in my spare time, and these companies excite me.

Christine
