A few months ago, I posted something here saying I thought VLNC would spike to 35 after announcing production, and fall way back after everyone realized that it takes time and iterations to ramp consumption and stabilize the technology.

Clearly an announcement of production has not been forthcoming. At the moment I believe they are coasting on the assumptions that 1) they can take forever to ship and it won't affect their market position, due to unlimited demand and no competition from Japan until 1999, and 2) they will have no problem raising more money to stay afloat in another offering.

By now they should be within a few months of running out of cash. They need to have started up production by now to avoid having a second offering being a make-or-break situation. I have no faith left for this company and will not tie money up with them again until they have shown they have something to sell and someone buying it. Waiting for the announcement will not be "too late" - they cannot jump 30 points in one day.
