Dan, Larry, et al,

According to the press release at

newspage.com

..the rates are somewhat different. But lets keep in mind the currency exchange rate, as well, between Canada and the US. Here's a part of the PR:

>>>>>"SaskTel's new Sympatico(TM) High Speed will initially be offered to customers in certain areas of Regina and Saskatoon in Canada's Saskatchewan province. The service enables simultaneous phone conversations and Internet access on a single, copper phone line. The price for unlimited monthly service is $50 U.S. ($69.95 Canadian), with a one-time $72 US ($99 Canadian) installation fee.

"This announcement is an example of SaskTel's commitment to advanced research, development and application of interactive technologies," said Dan Baldwin, senior vice president strategic business development and administration - strategic marketing. "We are proud of SaskTel's reputation as an early adopter of new technologies, and Sympatico High Speed is the latest solution in this area."

Westell's DSL systems offer ultra-fast Internet access and simultaneous phone service over a standard copper phone line. To accommodate such applications, these DSL systems enable data transmission speeds up to 7 megabits-per-second (Mbps). The lightning-fast transmission speeds offered with Westell's new DSL-based modems allow large text, graphics and video files on the Internet to be downloaded in seconds, instead of hours.<<<<<

Hope this cleared up some of the questions...

Wow! $50 for unlimited use of a 7 Mbps pipe to my den, with phone service to boot? I'll take it!
