Ellison has become kind of a sad joke. Whinning endlessly about Microsoft, just doesn't help anyone particularly Oracle. MS may be a monopoly and there may be lots of companies who could attribute their problems to MS behavior...but, Oracle isn't really one of them. Oracles problems have more to do with the diversions that Ellison has allowed the company to get involved with and the lack of attention to developing a big time application side of the house.

In a very short period of time SAP has grown to be a huge company, it was an area that Oracle could have been a kingpin in, instead they're an "also ran"... Meanwhile, Larry is upset because Gates didn't like the NetPC... Talk about lack of vision. Huge opportunities abound for Oracle and, yet, most of their focus seems to be in finding ways to thwart MS. Who cares about MS? How about trying to make some money???
